Laurie Adams, ceramic artist from Rico, began sharing her love of working in clay by holding pop-ups in Rico. Laurie provided the expertise and materials, Rico residents of all ages jumped in to work with clay making dozens for ceramic flowers, bugs and “portraits” of Rico characters. In 2024, The Rico Center funded a grant – Enhancing Rico with Public Art, which supported pop-ups and public art installations throughout our community. When visiting Rico you can find flower installations at the Rico Cemetery and Town Hall, and more are in the works!
