MEREDITH MILSTEAD

Meredith is a long time Painter and Teaching Artist working in oils, acrylic, pastel and glass. She grew up traveling extensively across the United States and Europe. Through painting and drawing she was able to understand and adapt to the different cultures and places she lived.

Today, her work is characterized by lyrical landscapes, gritty abstraction, bas-relief cut outs, and colorful delicate collage constructions. For her, the creative act is fundamentally grounding and enables connection to people and place through a visual communication which is playful, serious, intimate and authentic.
