MARY JONDROW
After years of teaching art education and painting, I moved away from making art to administer Federal grants. Now in retirement, I’m free to dive back into my creative life. Most recently, I have been working in watercolor, hand-built ceramics and fiber arts.
The Rico area and the San Juan Mountains are my inspiration. Much of my work is close-range observations of landscapes. Flora, grasses, rocks and water inspire my pieces. Rico is the perfect place to build my visual vocabulary.
My husband Jim and I have spent time in the San Juans for decades and have owned a home in Rico for over 15 years. We now live here for about half the year.
